The Miami Opportunity Forum wordmark on a lit wall as guests arrive

Sunday, December 6, 2026 ยท Miami ยท Art Basel week

Where builders, capital, and culture decide what gets built next

Presented by Founder's Box Ventures By invitation ยท approximately 150 guests The launch of Founder's Box Future

The forum

A serious room, not a conference

A private, one-day forum on the Sunday of Art Basel week. Builders, investors, editors, civic leaders, and rising founders come together around one question: who gets to build what comes next, and what will it take?

Attendance is capped and by invitation. Conversations are off the record where appropriate, and the program is built for substance rather than publicity.

Why now

Opportunity is being redrawn. Miami is where it shows first.

AI changes who builds

As the cost of building falls, the next great companies can come from anywhere and anyone.

Capital is moving

Capital, talent, and family offices have relocated to Miami, the business gateway to the Americas.

Culture is capital

Creativity, design, and sport are becoming engines of ownership and economic power.

The question is no longer where opportunity is concentrated, but who gets to build what comes next. During Art Basel week, when the world's collectors and capital are in Miami, we bring the people answering it into one room.

The program

Six fireside chats

Founders and leaders who have built at scale, each in conversation with a leading editor. Speakers are approached selectively and announced closer to the forum.

The Ladder

Social mobility through entrepreneurship

How do cities create real pathways for people with talent but without access?

Miami's Next Decade

Building a world-class city

What would it take for Miami to become more than a magnet for capital?

Beyond the Valley

How innovation ecosystems take root

Which ingredients of great ecosystems travel, and which must be invented locally?

The Next Platform

Opportunity in the age of AI

As AI lowers the cost of building, where will new opportunity come from?

The Long Game

From Miami roots to global scale

How do founders and cities build for generations?

Creative Capital

Where culture becomes enterprise

How does creativity become economic power, especially for those excluded from capital?

Guests talking in a daylit room during a reception

Composition matters more than any single name. Builders at scale, leading editors, investors and operators, civic and education leaders, and rising founders.

Founder pitches

Select founders, curated by sector

Four pitch rounds run through the day, with finals in the afternoon. Every founder is vetted, investor-ready, and paired with an editor to sharpen the story before taking the stage.

The forum is also the public launch of Founder's Box Future, our program for founders ages 18 to 24. Applications open in December ahead of the spring 2027 cohort, with non-dilutive grants, editorial mentorship, and a Miami residency that ends in Demo Day.

The Builders' Table: a hosted dinner for 40 to 60 guests and the forum's most candid setting. The prompt: what should we be able to say we built by 2035?

Founder's Box Media Council

Organized with the editors who shape the business conversation

Leading editors moderate the fireside chats, and council members pair with presenting founders to sharpen the story, defend the thesis, and meet an investor-grade standard on stage.

Partnership

Sponsors join as hosts of the room, not advertisers in it

Partners take a fireside chat, a founder pitch round in the sector they care about, or the Builders' Table. Recognition is understated: no logo walls, no booths.

Editorial independence is absolute. Sponsors do not shape questions, select moderators, or review content. There is no press attendance or attribution without explicit prior agreement.

Fireside chat

One of the six conversations, with recognition on the session and a brief introduction from the stage. Six available, one per chat.

Founder pitch round

Choose the sector featured in your round, take a seat on the judging panel, and get an early look at the presenting founders. Four available.

The Builders' Table

Co-host the dinner, welcome guests with a toast, and take seats at the table. One available.

Lead partner and supporters

Lead recognition across the forum, or a supporting role for organizations that want to be in the room. In-kind partnerships welcome.
